This itinerary will let us discover the south part of the red island crossing highlands and their landscapes ornate by many rice fields on stages, Rocky Mountains and much other scenery that changes dramatically. Passing by the tropical rainforests of the east and the uniformed massif of Isalo, we will visit the park of Zombitse-Vohibasia. Then we will end this trip at the park of Tsimanampesotse to meet the oldest baobab of Madagascar. In this area we will see a totally different and unique environment on the world.

Day 1 : Antananarivo
You will meet our guide and driver at the airport of Antananarivo and you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 : Antananarivo – Antsirabe
After breakfast, we will drive south till Ambatolampy, visit of the aluminum workshop. Then we will reach Antsirabe. In the afternoon we will visit the biggest brewery in Madagascar.

Day 3: Antsirabe – Ranomafana
In the morning, we will drive to Ambositra and we will visit a workshop where « Zafimaniry art » are worked and exposed.We will continue to the south east till the village of Ranomafana, accommodation in hotel and we will get ready for the night walk.

Day 4 : Ranomafana
Today we will have half a day to explore the Ranomafana National Park and discover the golden bamboo lemur, the rarest species and can be found only here. In the afternoon we will have the possibility to swim at the thermal swimming pool and visit of the Tanala village.

Day 5 : Ranomafana – Isalo
We will drive back and head south to Ambalavao to visit a silk factory and Antemoro paper workshop. We will then have a stop at the private reserve of Anja where we will have the occasion to meet ring tailed lemur in several families. And after the visite, we will drive to Ranohira.

Day 6 : Isalo
We spend a full day in the Isalo National Park, a vast region of wind-polished and water sources rock towers boarded and surrounded by pandanus aquatic plants, deep canyons dated on the Jurassic, gorges and oases often described as Eden. The combination of colored eroded rock formations and the standing stone is considered one of the best landscapes in Madagascar, also named « Colorado Malagasy ».

Day 7 : Isalo – Tulear
We will continue to the south following the national road, passing by the sapphire village of Ilakaka and we will make a brief stop to see Malagasy endemic stones. This step will bring us to a new scenery, among the dry forests of the west and spiny desert of the south, and on the way we will visit the national park of Zombitse – Vohibasia, Once arrived in Tulear, we will visit the reserve of Reniala.

Day 8 : Tulear – Anakao
After breakfast we will be transferred by motorboat to Anakao. We will get accommodation in our hotel and the rest of the day will be is free for optional activities.

Day 9 : Anakao
This day, we will explore the Tsimanampesotse National Park; this park is dominated by wetlands and spiny forest where we will take our time to admire the extraordinary banyan tree and the oldest baobab in Madagascar and see the unique blind fish of the world which is very easy to find in an underground cave.

Day 10 : Anakao
Time for us to have an appointment with Vezo fisherman for an excursion in the virgin island of Nosy Ve, crossing the emerald sea by traditional motorboat. Whale-watching is possible between July and September.

Day 11 : Anakao – Tulear – Antananarivo
We will be transferred back to Tulear by boat and flight to Antananarivo. Arrived in town we will be transferred again to our hotel.
